Carrying up to 60 passengers and 10,000 tons of cargo, she can operate at cruising speed for 3½ years without refueling. N. S. SAVANNAH was built as a joint project of the Maritime Administration, U. S. Department of Commerce, and the Atomic Energy Commission, and is operated by American Export Isbrandtsen Lines as the General Agent.
